The curbing surrounding the community's circular landscaping island had sustained significant structural failure across multiple sections, with broken blocks, displaced segments, and missing material creating both safety and curb appeal issues throughout the common area. We reformed and repaired each damaged section on-site to restore the original curb profile.

The Problem

• Multiple curb sections were broken, crumbling, and structurally compromised along the landscaping island perimeter
• Displaced curb blocks had shifted out of position, leaving large gaps and uneven edges
• Standing water was pooling in low spots created by curb failure adjacent to the drive surface
• Years of wear had degraded the overall appearance of the community's main entrance area

Our Process: Concrete Repair

• Performed a full perimeter walk to identify and document all damaged and failing curb sections
• Removed broken curb fragments, displaced blocks, and debris from each repair zone
• Cleaned and prepped the substrate beneath each section — proper base prep is critical to prevent the new material from settling or shifting over time
• Set forms along each damaged section to re-establish the original curved geometry, including tight-radius corners and sweeping arcs
• Mixed and poured structural-grade concrete to fill and rebuild each compromised section in place
• Finished and tooled each section to blend seamlessly with the surrounding curb profile
• Allowed full cure time before stripping forms and clearing the work area
