Patio Crack Repair + Resealing in Jacksonville, FL

## Project Overview

Residential Concrete returned to a Jacksonville homeowner's backyard patio to repair cracking and restore sealer protection six years after our original spray texture and seal installation. The work included crack chasing, patching, spot texture blending to match the existing surface, and a full reseal in the customer-selected color, Graystone.

## The Problem

- Multiple cracks had developed across the patio slab, with some areas showing significant width and spalling at the edges
- Existing sealer had worn through in high-traffic zones, leaving unsealed concrete exposed to moisture and staining
- Surface spalling around crack zones had left the texture uneven and visually inconsistent with the surrounding finish
- Open cracks were collecting debris and accelerating further deterioration

## Our Process

- Pressure washed the entire patio to remove dirt, debris, and loose sealer before beginning any repair work
- Chased out each crack using a crack-chasing grinder to open and clean the voids — this step is essential so patch material bonds to sound concrete rather than crumbling edges
- Applied concrete patch compound to all chased cracks, filling them fully and allowing proper cure time before proceeding
- Applied a light spray texture coat over all repaired areas to match the existing orange-peel texture profile — skipping this step would leave smooth patch zones that visually stand out from the surrounding surface
- Applied a full coat of ICT ColorSeal H2O Pro in Graystone across the entire patio, restoring uniform color and sealer protection from edge to edge
- Performed a final walkthrough to confirm coverage uniformity, texture blend quality, and consistent sealer application throughout

- ICT ColorSeal H2O Pro – Graystone (color sealer, full surface coat)
- Concrete patch compound (crack fill)
- Spray texture (blend coat applied over repaired areas)

## Results

- All cracks filled and textured to blend seamlessly with the surrounding surface — no visible patch outlines
- Uniform Graystone color restored across the entire patio
